Hey, I’m Alisha. A wife, mom, fitness/nutrition/lifestyle coach. I dieted for over a decade, losing and regaining the same weight over and over. I was not only chasing a number on the scale, but I was also trying to be everything to everyone, which only left me feeling more exhausted and worse about myself.
I finally realized that if I was going to show up as the wife and mom I wanted and find freedom in my health I needed to work on my relationship to food, exercise, my body, and myself. I learned about the power of changing our brain (aka our thinking) - and our behavior- through habits that supported the healthy lifestyle that I craved. And now I’m ready to share everything I’ve learned with you!

Your thoughts about you
What do you think about yourself? About your body? Your weight?
If you're like a majority of women out there, changes are your thoughts about you/your body/ your weight aren't great.
you might beat yourself up. Think that if you just lost a few pounds or looked different, then you'd be confident and feel good in your body.
The reality is, it's only your thoughts about that magical number on the scale or your thoughts about a body that looks like your ideal body.
The way you interact with food, exercise, or pretty much any other area of your life has to do with how you are currently thinking about yourself and your body.
This leads to us often setting goals from a place of desperation, hurry, and frustration rather than from excitement, joy, contentment, and peace. We somehow think that we are less than until we reach that goal.
I fell into that trap--believing the lie that if my body looked a certain way or were a certain size, then I'd be happy, successful, fulfilled. My marriage would be better, I'd be a better mom. I'd feel more confident, etc.
Sadly, I reached the goal and was still disappointed. I brought all of my icky thoughts about myself with me into the smaller, leaner body.
I was still insecure. Still comparing myself to other women. Still judging my body harshly.
And, because my relationship to myself wasn't super healthy, I did things that ended up being more harmful than helpful.
If you're simply running your default way of thinking about your body and yourself, it's time that story got an upgrade.
That's exactly what we talk about this week on the show.
If you're ready to feel at peace with food and your body, I can help.
Food doesn't have to be confusing or hard. You can learn to eat without guilt or binging. You can feel good in your body now, without waiting for the number on the scale.
